25mths - i Want What i Want, NOW...

i want what i want, NOW...

This tittle is the best to describe ours Kiyo at age of 25mths! A total change once she stepped into her 25th month, can u believe it?

She is well known with her active character, non stop moving body and octopus hand, NOW add on bad temper! OMG... She is now refused to put on/off clothes/diaper/pant, surely need a big 'fight', big screaming crying to get her change! I have tried asking her permission/tell her how pretty she is with the dress/how dirty is the soil diaper/clothes, all these excuses are useless, never work, until i forced her to change, until Enan warning her then beat her, still she says NO... I am sure you dont believed this, myself too! Kiyo has quite a good temper all these while but what make this happen suddenly. I think toddler at this age are more or less the same, they started to know more thing, learn new thing and want more attention! hmn...

One story happen last week, This night, as usual, i wanted her to change into her pyjamas around 11pm, she refused! i tried my best to tell her how nice is that pyjamas, how dirty is her cloth, how smelly is her soil diaper but i am failed. She stil struggled and kicking me, i was so mad and i removed her cloth and pant forcely. Of course she screamed and cried til Enan came up, warned her and shout at her when she stil non stop screaming! She kept wanted to wear her pant back and still kicking me! Enan was so angry, warned her again, but doesnt work, then he showed her the rattan, she screamed even louder, at last Enan softly hit her leg, it really stopped the 'music' but only for a while! Kiyo still insisted to wear the pant back, still refused to put on her pyjamas! That night, she was topless, with that soil diaper and up-side-down pant she wore herself, refused to go into bedroom, fall sleep with tears and rubbing her leg on the sofa! I am so sad but kept telling myself not to comfort her too much, i dont want to give her wrong message! So i still lesson-ing her!

Having trouble keeping up with your energetic toddler? Now that walking's old hat, she's probably moved on to running, jumping and hopping. When she gets all wound up, let her go — otherwise you'll have a restless, cranky child on your hands as the day wears on. You can channel some of her energy by setting up little games. Ask her to pick up toys and run back to the toy box with them, or go outside and teach her the game of hopscotch. Don't worry about whether she can pick up the stone or jump in the right boxes — just let her have fun and move around. It will give her a chance to work off some of that boundless energy while helping her build strength and co-ordination - email from babycentre

This email is pushing me hard to send Kiyo to Musikgarten and bring her out to indoor playground/shopping mall, just to work off her energy! Kiyo will be attending her 1st class this fri evening and soon maybe swimming class!

23mths - A Great Christmas Gift For Mummy and Daddy...

When everyone is happily enjoy the christmas day, we are sleeping at home whole day! hahahaha... No plan No place to go No shopping mood (actually shop too much on last week)

So what do we buy for Kiyo's christmas present? We actually buy nothing for her, as i think she has most the thing she needs and she wants! Save more money...

Then, what has Kiyo gave us for christmas gift? hihihihihihi

Jingle Bell Jingle Bell.....................................................

She is now finally diaper free for daytime, except nap time! Is this a good gift to us? Save some diaper $ for daddy (althought she was using cloth diaper and Tesco Choice Disposable diaper) and save mummy from nagging and heartpain when she is suffering the pain of diaper rash! I have been receiving many nagging from friends saying i am too lazy to potty train her, saying she is not 'smart' enough to tell her pee, saying bla bla bla bla! But how much they know about me and my daughter?

If u are follower of my blog, i guess you still remember i bought a potty from Ikea when Kiyo is 6mths old. But she was kicking the potty away. Then i make a fullstop, as i think she is not ready for it. Later, a friend of mine who attended child's phsycology seminar, told me not to potty train a kid until he/she is 2years old. Actually i read this from magazine and internet (http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/children/parents/toilet/179.html) too. But on and off i still showed her the nice potty, again she still kicked it away, she refused to sit down and cried until i took it away.

Until she is 20mths old, she started willing to pee on the floor in the toilet, it shows a good sign to me. But, i didnt really do potty train for her at that time, as we travelling a lots for sept, oct and nov. I only started potty train her in Dec, after twice bad diaper rash. I can say, it's not an easy job, tougher than pacifier-free-job. WHY? go ask AiPeng, she is an experienced mum on this. hahahaha.... Yes, i am chasing behind her with napkin, mopping her pee on sofa, on floor, in playhouse, changing her soil panties until not enough panties for changing. I got so frustrated why cant she keep for a little longer or tell me earlier. And, she always got confused on monday, after 2 days with diaper for outing. I have been telling her softly and patiently whenever i pull off her diaper, after she pee on floor, please tell mummy if you need to pee, OK? She answered me K everytime but still she cannot hold it. I am sorry that i beat her twice for it, she cried badly and saying NO NO NO to me. Forgive me darling. What make me beat her? for this 2 times, she pee on the floor just only 5mins after i asked her to go toilet but she said NO. Now i believed on 'No pain no gain'. She is now calling 'mi mi mi mi mi' and pull me to toilet. hahahahaa...

But ho, i am really curious on her, is she interested with the toilet bowl cover i bought for her or she really need to go so often? Everytime i can hear a very little pee from her only. I sometimes just so lazy to go inside toilet, especially when watching drama, then i just put her on potty. Suprised me, she wants it, she can now tell me when she need to poo poo too. Great job KIYO.

And, i think she still continously need dispoable diaper for sleep and outing. She is really a water tank, she drink a lots she pee a lots. You can see a 'flooded' Mamy Poko every morning from her, and she needs to change her mamy poko every 2hours when outing.

Kiyo, you looks sexy without diaper. Mummy loves to bite your little pigu... hahahahahahaha...

21mths - 两小无猜。。。。

31Oct - 15Nov, Kiyo and i were back in Miri for a short break.

Here, share with you all some pic and video of Bryan and Kiyo. They both really suprised us a lots, they both are so loving so close so caring, of course they do fight for toys, foods and sometimes for nothing! hahahaha... This is kids. Like what Caroline said, they still cannot understand the meaning of SHARING.

My sister in law and i always asking each other a funny question 'what if both of them are twin?'... OMG, we cannot imagine it, we dare not to think of it too!

They both loves noodles, cheese, cheese sticks, vitagen, marble bun so much! There was a night when we waited for sarawak noodle for supper, both of them banging the table and shouted 'mian mian' till the noodle served! My god... so noisy and so embarrasing! hahahaha... And, both 'blowing bubbles' using theirs nose together! Yes, kiyo again sick, she still not used to the weather there, as usual she will flu from 1st day till she back at KL, then she will automatic recovered without medication! Anyone can answer me WHY? Chinese sinsei said that her body is too hot, and weather in Miri and any other seaside is dry and hot (i agreed as kiyo hardly fall sick in KL but she oftenly sick at/after back from Miri, Perlis, Cherating, Koh Samui and Krabi)

Bryan loves to call 'jiejie' non-stop... And, he asked to go home fast every night to see 'jiejie' (He is at grandma house during daytime)

One morning, we left both of them playing themselves while we were busy in the kitchen! Minutes later, the room is up-side-down... scary!

After the war in the house, now they started to 'damage' the car porch! GENG

Now, the shopping mall turned to a playground for both of them. FAINT

Yes, they are in the hypermarket while we shop for grocceries! NO EYES SEE

THE END... At the airport, is time to say byebye... i am not sure how's Bryan now, i haven call home yet, but Kiyo was crying badly for 2-3hrs continously in the midnight after back from Miri! And, she told me "didi.... 'supp supp'..." (the way Bryan slurping noodle)

20mths - The Very First Cough

28th Sept, we came back KL from Perlis at midnight (29th Sept), Kiyo never sleep well during the whole 4.5hrs journey, she woke up with big shout and big cry for 3-4times until i have to squeeze my huge body and slept with her on the 'bed' i special make for her!

29th Sept, Kiyo woke up with slight flu & few cough, these cough are no more cough for fun, it's real cough, with phlegm, as Enan said, luckily is not dry cough, else she will be more suffering... Sorry to say, she actually started coughing 2 nights before, only few cough so i thought she might just again copycat and simply cough for laugh, until this morning only i can confirmed that she is really sick, her body temperature turned 36.8degree, wet nose & few cough with phlegm... Quickly, i get Enan to buy some vitagen and added in the medication. Sadly, same old trick cannot practise often, this time she realised the taste and rejected it, she requested me to throw the vitagen! OMG... At last, i managed to add little flu med with spoonfull of cod liver oil, she actually tasted it but slow response. In the afternoon, suprised me she fall sleep with her favourite Brainy Baby on, i guess she is really tired or maybe the medicine make her sleepy. After a 3hrs nap, she woke up with her voice changed. I decided to boil her bird nest since it's good for lung and cough. But, she dont really like the 'honey dates' i added in.

30th Sept, Kiyo woke up with quite a good mood after 12hrs sleep, no more wet nose but still slight cough. Again, i cooked her a bird nest porridge with oli red dates, this time she really finished it with lick-the-bowl. Hahahaha....

I wonder what i can cook for her tomolo? how to cure her cough with phlegm? i asked chinese drug store, they asked me to give her '猴枣散'. Headache headache...

Sweetie, sorry for mummy's careless in taking care of you.

20mths - First Try On Petai

16 Sept - as usual, we went to the same cafe to have ours brunch. Today Enan is having the petai in his economic rice, Kiyo shared some of the rice & steamed eggs... Half way eating, Kiyo pointed at the PETAI in daddy's plate, we both looked at Kiyo with big eyes, but little gal is insisted to have it, HOW? hmn, daddy washed the petai with soup then oli gave it to her... Guess how's the reaction from Kiyo???

This is one of the articles i found from net....

Benefits of Petai - Advice From UKM Medical Doctor
ADVICE FROM UKM MEDICAL DOCTOR

Little did you know ...... after reading THIS, you'll NEVER look at petai in the same way again!

Petai contains three natural sugars -sucrose, fructose and glucose. Combined with fiber, petai gives an
instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proved that just two servings of petai
provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder petai is the number one fruit with
the world's leading athletes. But energy isn't the only way petai can help us keep fit. It can also help
overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND among people suffering from depression, many felt
much better after eating petai. This is because petai contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body
converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS(premenstrual syndrome):
Forget the pills - eat petai.. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect
your mood.

Anaemia:
High in iron, petai can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.

Blood Pressure:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the petai industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

Brain Power :
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating petai at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert. Understand that bananas contain lot of potassium too so eat more bananas. Just look at those monkeys, they are really active, alert, smart and funny too!!

Constipation:
High in fiber, including petai in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

Hangovers:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a petai milkshake, sweetened with honey.
The petai calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Heartburn:
Petai has a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating petai for soothing relief.

Morning Sickness :
Snacking on petai between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

Mosquito bites :
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of the petai skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

Nerves:
Petai is high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

Overweight:
Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

Ulcers:
Petai is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness.
It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases.. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Temperature control:
Many other cultures see petai as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional
temperature of expectant mothers. In Holland, for example, pregnant women eat petai to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) :
Petai can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer, tryptophan.

Smoking:
Petai can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Stress:
Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium petai snack.

Strokes:
According to research in "The New England Journal of Medicine," eating petai as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%".

Warts:
Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of petai and place it on the wart. Carefully hold the petai in place with a plaster or surgical tape!

So, as you can see, petai really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around. So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, "A Petai a day keeps the doctor away"

The answer :

Yes, Kiyo bite it & chewed it, she seems no special reaction on it.....
OMG... this must be the genetic from Enan & family, they all loves it, except me!

20mths - New Hair Cut

This week is ours family hair cut week, it's just happen so coincidentally that 3 of us need a hair do... Hmn, as usual Enan & i will go separately to the salon nearby, and Kiyo will go to the Mama Salon, specially for her oli... hihihihi...

For this 20mths, i owes wanted to keep her hair long, i hardly shorten her hair except the fringe, but Enan has the opposite mind from me, he just never like Kiyo's hair to be tight up & never like to keep her hair long... Initially we quarrel on it but later i just ignored him, do as wat i wan!

This time, i dono wat make me to shorten & trimmed her hair, after few complaint from Enan lately or pity her when i see her sweat or those annoying baby hair dropped & disturbed her when she eating & playing (althought her hair is tighten up), her hair was actually shoulder lenght & growing thicker! Sometimes Kiyo's hair really looked messy after sweat or no hair wash on previous day!

09 Sept, i finally make a hard decision & lifted up my heaviest in ever hand & took up the scisssor, start thinning her hair, shorten abt an inch, so heart pain! Suprisingly, i loves the outcome, she looks cuter & fresh with this new hair style, i can feel the relax in her oso... lighter head now! hahahaha....

How to keep her sit still for so long for the whole session? hahahha.... Guess from the video below... A very good idea, isnt it? i think i took abt 30mins for that hair do, later at night, i did another minor trimming again in lenght...

Before the hair cut....

After the hair cut.....

And here is mummy's new hair style, SUPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice? i personally like it, fresh & light & easy.... But, Enan said my face looks wider (fatter), sob sob! kakakaka... time to diet oso, gaining so much weight after i stopped the birth control pill, been eating non-stop! grrrhhhhhh.... gain is easier, lose is so much harder!
For Enan's hair, nothing special, same old style! hahahaha

Another Crazy Mama in Multiply

No woman will reject shopping, am i right? Yes, we are recently addicted to shop for toys & now Enfagrow, smart Mead Johnson introducing these 6 sets 'Cut, Count & Learn' at the right time. Hmn, this sunday morning, a very good Q from Enan & a super good answer from me, he asked me where to go after breakfast, wo wo wo, for sure my answer is GIA*T! He got shocked when i told him i wanna bought 6tins Enfagrow just to collect the 6sets of toys! While the Enfa Sales Personel was loading the 6tins into trolley for me, Enan again said 'Kiyo, see mummy buy so many milk for 'zhao lou' (走路). The evil in me saw the hidden toy set at the rack, i requested extra free gift from the sales personnel, end up she gave me the free gift from Sustag*n since i have all 6sets from Enfagr*w. Super Satisfied i am.
Owh.... Poor daddy, he said 'the total amount is killing old poor me (要了我的老命)!' at the cashier! We got 27pcs of stamp, which can use to exchange/purchase the Italian Fry Pan/Wok.

The 6 sets 'Cut, Count & Learn', Nest*e Rice Cereal (RM8.99 - normal price RM 10.50, but the cheapest i got at T*sco was RM 7.99) & the free gift from S*stagen
I only opened up 1 set for Kiyo, kept the rest of 6sets!
Kiyo : Dear 'beh beh' (bear), let me feed you this nice 'na na' (banana)
She fed her bear the banana after she peeled off the skin... *pengsan* Later she fed herself & daddy too
* Those with ' ' are the only words that Kiyo said
Let's see the video taken on her very 1st time playing these 'Cut, Count & Learn' playset. She needs more practise on holding knife & adjust the cutting line.

The little girl is playing shortcut & i think she found interesting with the 'zip zap' sound from the velcro
That night, we went to Pappa Rich with a supplier friend, this is the toy i bringing along recently to keep her quiet.

19mths - Guess wat she made tonight? She is making a 'gun' (L shape) then she hold it with 1eyes close & 'boom boom'! *pengsan* All daddy's fault by teaching a girl playing gun! My mil also making noise on this.

19mths - Good Progress...

I think i'm not a good mummy.... Y am i said so? Bcox i'm so lazy (this is from some mummy that do not agreed with my style) hahahahaha....

Well, started from last mth, i finally set my mind up to train Kiyo to sleep by herself, meaning she will be going into the room alone, trying her very best to fall sleep without me aside.... Slowly from afternoon nap then night sleep, she is able to do so all alone.... Mostly she will bring in a bottle of milk, then she will call me up when finished & i will bring in water for her, after few sips, i walked out from the room & left her alone inside sing song, turning here & there, few minutes later, the room turned so quite, sheep counting is now start! The minute before Kiyo fall sleep, she will give me a notify by shouting 'ah'... *funny*

At the same time, i again started with 'weaning off pacifier' mission that failed on few mths back... Is evryone still remember my older post regarding this mission?!

http://enan112.multiply.com/journal/item/57/Say_goodbye_to_a_friend_for_14mths...

She was actually stopped taking pacifier for a mth at that time, but we decided to put back for her on ours flight back to Miri, her tears nearly 'flooded' the whole aircraft, her scary cry nearly 'shake' the aircraft.... OMG... We just dono how to comfort her that day, as she was too sleepy but cannot sleep, she was having bad teething discomfort. The luckiest mummy i am, i still carry her pacifier in nappy bag, immediately i 'stuck' the pacifier to her & all these scary 'show' stop!*pengsan*

2mths later, a fren of mine teased me on Kiyo still having pacifier... i was so mad with her words, so i set a plan up to stop it... (actually she not oli teased on kiyo's pacifier but oso comparing her gal with kiyo oftenly)

Thanks to god for giving me a wise mind, this time i don use 'forcing' but i talked to her, showed to her & explained to her why i wan to stop her from pacifier! Suprised me, she listened, she nvr cry while looking at her pacifier, she tried to sleep without paci (i do give her back when she cant), she even show me a super ego face ('don wan ma don wan la, wat a big deal' face)... I must say she is really big gal now... I Love U Kiyo...

Hmn.... At 19mths old, she is able to sleep without pacifier & without my accompanion... GREAT job Kiyo...

kiyo is getting better in working with both hand... Let's see the video!

1-2mths ago, she is oli able to match 2 pcs of puzzle oli. Today, she is making a longer line in the room while i was busy with something.

Mylivina Club @ Sg Chongkak, Hulu Langat

A great sunny sunday morning, we went to Hulu Langat for the picnic that organised by Mylivina Club... 22 cars joined in this great outing! We are the only chinese family, as usual actually.. We reached there around 12noon while the rest actually were there at 10am..

Let's see the stone arrange by a teenager! Great? For me, it's so amazing!

As usual, daddy is the one who have fun with Kiyo, we brought oso our friend's daughter & son there..

Here are some of the Grand Livina...

This is a very first time for Kiyo to have fun in this ice cold water, it's really cold! Initially, she was quite scared & refused to go down, after a while kicking water & played with Ivy jiejie, she started to request daddy to hold at her & let her walked around!
A very first time for Kiyo to take durian too, we let her tried before but she dont like, she ran away! This time, she took & placed inside her mouth by herself, oh Yes, she likes it so much! She even helped us to chase the flies away.. Cute sweetie!
It's really great to spend a family day here, enjoying the nature, the water play, the fresh air & the durian!
